

She retired from the University of Evansville School of Nursing as an administrative assistant to the Dean. She was a lifelong member of Christ Church United Church of Christ on Washington Avenue and worked as a volunteer at Rescue Mission Thrift Store. Noralu loved gardening and still maintained the family farm in Allendale, Illinois. She enjoyed bowling until the age of 95 and taking care of her large blueberry patch. Her great-grandchildren brought a spark to her life always. Noralu enjoyed feeding the birds and the squirrels.
Noralu was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Alfred Louis Matthews and five siblings.
She is survived by her children, Debi Murray (Rick), Tom Matthews (Lisa), and Jane Daus (Walt); grandchildren, Jay Collins, Shannon Martin, Allyson Alloway (Clay), Mark Murray (Teresa), and John Murray (Christina); eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Henson; and several nieces and nephews.
A private Graveside Service will be held at Oak Hill Mausoleum Chapel where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
