

He was a Member of Methodist Temple and served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. He had a Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University and worked at the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation as a teacher and later became a Principal at Culver. He was active in the NEA and PTA. Upon retirement, he ran the Water Department for the City of Evansville. Norbert loved kids, was an avid Evansville Aces Fan, and raised money for the teams. He was a philanthropist and supported many organizations.
Norbert was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, George and Lawrence Woolley.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn Mayton Woolley of Evansville; son, David (Tina) Woolley of St. Peters, MO; daughter, Carol Palmer of Evansville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Julia Forney and Carol Seigel, both of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Methodist Temple, 2109 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Steve Beutler, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
