

Paul served in the US Army from 1970-1971 in Vietnam in a Medevac Unit. He was a member of the VFW # 1114, and a member Grace Baptist Church. He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years as a clerk and retired in express mail delivery. After retirement, he drove veterans for Assisted Transportation for 8 years. Paul was an avid runner, very creative and a great communicator, a very gentle and loving person. His favorite saying was “There is no substitute for clean living”.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Whitney; sisters, Sandra Yancy, and Janice Garwood.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years that he made his mission to spoil, Dee Whitney; her son, Michael Fritchley (Megan); his sons, Sidney Fritchley, Joe Fritchley (Paige), Austin Fritchley (Maci); Megan’s daughters, Madison and Charlee; nephew, Jim Garwood; so many longtime friends; his dog who loved him, Bates.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Nick McPheron with entombment to follow. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel. The Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct Military Rites.
