

She taught preschool at Salem UMC for 23 years, and was a paraprofessional at Henry Reese Educational Center where she taught ESL in the adult education program. Paula was a den mother/coach with the Boy Scouts for 15 years and received the Silver Fawn Award. She was a lifetime member of the PTA. Paula was known as the “cake lady” for all of the special occasion and wedding cakes that she made for the community. She was on the Board of Directors for the Evansville Protestant Home.
Paula was a member of Salem UMC for over 60 years, where she taught Sunday School and served as treasurer of the United Methodist Women for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell Wayne Minor; sister, Shirley Morris and her husband, Clyde (Tub); brother, Robert D. Sheets and his wife, Shirley; and brother in law, Ted Coleman.
Paula is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph “JD” Minor; sister, Peggie Coleman; brother in law, Bill Minor (Willene); sons, Stephen David Minor (Kim), Jeffrey Keith Minor (Jeanine), Scott Douglas Minor (Denise), Bradley Heath Minor (Sherry), and Chad Joseph Minor (Nancy); grandchildren, Stephanie Richie (Jeremy), Mallory Kiesler (Joey), Meagan Minor, Lauren Minor, Craig Minor (Samantha), Sarah King (Chase), Jennifer Minor, Elizabeth Carr (Ryan), Arica Gaines (Ryan), Alexa Martinez (Nathan), Adam Minor, Jack Minor, Charlie Minor, and Henry Minor; great grandchildren, Noah, David, Eddie, Amelia, Olivia, Cooper, Palmer, Leighton, Wally, Ruby, and Hudson; special niece, Pam Paul; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 5, 2022 at Alexander North Chapel, as well as from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 6, 2022 at Salem United Methodist Church 6311 Kratzville Rd. Evansville, IN 47710. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at Salem UMC, officiated by Rev. Bessie Adams, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of ward 5200 at Deaconess Midtown and Bethel Manor Rehab Cottage for their wonderful care.
