Peggy was a seamstress for Shane’s Manufacturing. She made quilts, was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. Peggy loved watching wildlife, especially “her” hummingbirds. She also loved flowers, and always looked for beauty in life. She was an avid Nascar fan. Peggy was a great cook, especially known for her potato salad and pineapple upside down cake.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Mildred L. Carwile; sister, Dolly M. Carwile; brothers, James Cummings, John S. Carwile, and William T. Carwile.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Erskine Eugene “Sonny” McCullough; daughters, Kimberly S. Vollman (Jim) and Tracy Thomas (Joe); son, Flint Eugene McCullough; grandchildren, Tammy (Jason), Jacob, Joseph, Jimmy (Miranda), Courtney (Jake), Candice (Rachel), and Beth; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Carwile (Rosie), Ann Miller (Roger), David Carwile (Kathy), Diana Hall (Bob), and Lucille Rusche (Bob); numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sweet Pea.
Friends may visit on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel. On Tuesday there will be visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jonathon Rusche with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
