

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Phyllis worked at both Zenith and Clayton’s Dry Cleaners. Family was her highest priority. She was the source of great strength to her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Meyer; brother, Fred Carrico; and parents, Jesse and Mary Carrico.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cornelius Meyer; daughters, Tina Whitlow (Bert) of O’Fallon, IL, Julia Shadley of Evansville, Debbie Babik (Dave) of Owensboro, KY; sisters, Shirley Tyree (Jack) and Carolyn Brown all of Evansville; brother, Steve Carrico (Gerry) of Washington, MO; grandchildren, Jesse Shadley (Jenny), Tyler Shadley, Travis Shadley, Sabrina Babik, Alex Babik, Katrina Whitlow, Sarah Meyer; four great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Meyer of Princeton, IN.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 613 Cherry St., Evansville, IN 47620, officiated by Father Stephen Lintzenich with burial at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:30 to 6:30 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Evansville, IN 47711, and on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
