

He was a 1978 graduate of Reitz High School and worked at Flanders Electric for over 16 years as an AC/DC motor mechanic. Reed was a car fanatic. He loved cars, especially Corvairs, and was a member of the Evansville Corvair Club. Reed also belonged to the American Legion Elberfeld Post. He loved all animals, especially cats. Reed was always humming, like his dad, and loved to joke and have fun. He was a joy to others, would do anything for anyone, and was loved by everyone.
Reed was preceded in death by his parents; and favorite pet, Kitty.
He is survived by his son, Kyle (Tina) Lutz; daughter, Sarah (James) Lutz; step-daughters, Chelsea McCain and Jamie Crook;; brother, Joel (Susie) Lutz; sister, Paula (Chuck) Hall; mother, Joan Lutz; former wives, Stacy Lutz, and mother of his children, Lee Ann Lutz; nieces and nephew; and several grandkittys.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Zion Lippe Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
