She retired from Berry Plastics after 34 years of service. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her dogs, shopping, and enjoyed going to the casino with her friends.
Retha was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen E. Simms; brother, Roger D. Simms; and granddaughter, Jamie K. Simms.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, August P. Harpole Jr.; sons, James A. Simms and Michael L. Carlisle; daughter, Marion C. White-Bonicard; great-grandchildren, Abby, Zander and Lilly; sister, Vickie L. Simms; and nieces, Monika Joines and Julie Gorman.
Private burial services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
