He was a Navy Veteran, serving in World War II.
Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, in 2005.
He is survived by his sons, David C. and wife, Susan, of Newburgh, and Eric P. and wife, Kim, of Sunol, CA; brother, Lee M. Eidson and wife, Kay, of Nashville, TN; granddaughters, Erica Haas and husband, John, Jessica Pillion and husband, Jed, and Lisa Downey and husband, Joe; grandson, Alex Eidson; great-grandchildren, Isabella Stratton, Jack Pillion and Grady Pillion; and niece, Susan Potts and husband, Stephen.
Following Rex’s wishes, he will be cremated and interred in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery alongside his wife, Lucille. Private family services will be held.
