Richard H. Delano

Richard retired after 32 years from Arkla Industries, which later became Preway Industries, then Dometic. He enjoyed IU basketball, Colts football, and gardening.

He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously. He fought a hard battle with cancer, maintaining his bravery through it all.

Richard was preceded in death by brothers, George, Jerry and John; sisters, Eloise, Geraldine and Dorothy; half-brothers, Marion and Charles H; half sisters, Virginia, Ethel and Eloise.

He is survived by his wife Janie; sons, Richard Delano, Jr. (Kerri), Brent Delano (Sandy) of Chandler, IN, Kevin Taylor (Amy) of Middleburg, FL, Andrew Taylor (Ida) of Evansville, IN; daughter, Trina Rucker (David) of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Charles Delano (Brenda) of Nebo, KY; sister, Georgia Sessum of Ft. Worth, TX; 17 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren.

The body will be cremated. Alexander West is handling the arrangements. A Memorial service for the family will be at a later date.
