He received a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, where he played basketball and was a member of the “M” Men Alumni Association. Richard was a Civil Engineer and served as Construction Manager on projects throughout the country. He was a member of Eastside Christian Church and the AF & AM Grande Lodge of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Gwinn; and daughter, Nancy Gwinn.
He is survived by his sons, Malcolm (Sherry) and Richard M. Gwinn; and grandchildren, Cameron and Courtney Gwinn.
Graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma.
