Dick served in the US Army and worked as a Carrier Guard for Con-Way (formerly Purolator) for 25 years. He also owned and operated the original B&D Towing. His greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dick’s passion was restoring and showing antique cars and trucks.
Dick was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tasha (Kolle) Higsby; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carolyn (Hurt) Lammela; daughters, Julie Ewell (Doug), Kimberly Newton (Terry) and Laura Kaysinger (Garry); sons, John Lammela (Lisa) and Eric Golike (Dana); 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
At Dick’s request, no funeral services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest in Alexander Memorial Park.
