

He was born on January 1, 1931 to Marie Kueber and Edwin Lockridge. Richard had one sister, Marianne Kamp and one brother, Don Lockrdige.
Richard is survived by his four children, David A. Lockridge (Debbie), Richard T. Lockridge, Pamela Lockridge Schellekens (Alexander), and Edwin A. Lockridge (Linda); and six grandchildren. He married Betty J. Hudson in 1976, who has three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Richard worked for the United States Post Office as a letter carrier for 26 years, retiring in 1979 and worked part-time for Thornton’s Oil.
He was a US Marine from August 1950 to January 1953 and served in Korea from September 1950 to November 1951. He is a member of the Exclusive Fraternity of Honor, The Chosin Few, VFW 1114, and is also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary which he joined in 1977 and has been very active to date.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 14, 2013 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, IN with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the VFW 1114.
