He enjoyed playing pool, fishing in Lynnville, and was a huge racing fan, especially Nascar and Indy Car. He loved visiting with and hearing stories about his grandchildren. Bob graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1969 and worked at Audubon Chrysler Center for the last 27 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Denton in 2010; and parents, Ann Denton in 2001 and Bob Denton in 1997.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Patterson and Jennifer Denton (Mike Heath); son, James Denton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Gavin, and Renee; sisters, Judy Stratman and Susan Reid; brother, Bill Denton; mother-in-law, Audrey Lenn; nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Fr. Ted Tempel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends visited Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
