Bob was an Arctic Survival Instructor during his service in the US Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a hunting and fishing guide during his time in Alaska. After his retirement in the military, Bob worked at Geuss Beauty Supply for over 20 years. His passion was ministry, helping and mentoring to anyone in need. He touched many lives through Brother’s Keeper Christian Ministry and was the founder of Tri-State Men’s Ministries. Bob was a member of Hope Light Church in Newburgh.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay Sheridan Collins; son, Scott Alan Collins (Kathy); daughter, Aimee Beth Sprinkle (Geoff); grandchildren, Amanda Sheridan Collins, Kevin Alan Collins (Lauren), Stephen Andrew Collins (Erin); great granddaughter, Avery Jane Collins; brother, Ronald Collins (Linda); and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jerry Daniels, with a burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
