Robert W. Ice

Robert "Bob" W. Ice, 86, of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Solarbron Senior Living. He was born on October 10, 1935 in Evansville, IN to the late Robert Edwin and Helen Irene (Koga) Ice.

Bob retired from Alcoa where he was a Maintenance Mechanic. He loved his church and was a very active member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church, including a past Board Member, past District Board Member, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Worship Leader, men’s softball team, Senior Citizens Best Years Fellowship Leader, and past Children’s Program Leader. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and grandsons, singing, traveling with his family and telling stories about the fishing trips he made with his church friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry DeMik; grandchildren, Tami (Jamie) Scott , Robyn (Michael) Daszkiewicz , Brandon (Tiffany) Camp , Nick Camp, David (Savannah) Camp , Randy (Ashley) Camp , Sarah Heineman, Leah Ice, Samantha (Jason) Southwell, Adam (Jamie) Ice , Daniel (Nicole) Ice and Denton (Kayley) Ice; sister, Patricia (Lester) Burris; seven nieces and nephews especially Rocky (Gena) Corbett, Cheryl (Gene) Cooper.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Lincoln) Ice; children, Cindy Camp, Karen Wigand, David Ice; sister, Janice (Sam) Cross.

Friends and family may gather at Alexander West Chapel on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Wednesday at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am with Pastor Ray Austin officiating. Final resting place will be at Tupman Cemetery next to his beloved wife.
