Robert E "Bobby" Imel

He graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1951, was State runner up in basketball, and played varsity baseball.

Bobby was a member of Howell General Baptist, Challengers Sunday School Class, and was a member of Reitz R Men’s Varsity Club.

He was an avid walker, walking 10 miles a day on the Westside for years, and loved the Atlanta Braves.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn “Jill” Imel earlier this year; parents, Franklin and Estrella Imel; and daughter, Robin Pickerill.

He is survived by grandchildren, Nathan James, Brittney James, Trinity Pickerill, and Autumn Pickerill; brothers, Franklin Imel and John Imel; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
