Bob was employed in the grocery store business for 44 years working for Royal Foods for 25 years, Great Scot and retired from Buehler’s Buy-Low. He loved cars, car racing, and watching the Colts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Albert and Minnie Kemp; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Pat Kemp.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sue Barnes-Kemp; son, Tony Kemp; daughter, Lisa Kempf (Lindsey); stepson, Billy Barnes of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Lauren Kempf, Aaron Kempf, Alex Kempf, and Austin Kemp all of Evansville; step grandchildren, Zach Barnes (Jamie), Shelley Gastineau (Bryson), and Nena Hobson (Travis) all of St. Joseph, MO; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Pickerill with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice.
