Ron was the founder of many businesses, including the House of Jerky, which he loved dedicating his time to for the last 20 years. Ron was proud to have been his own boss all his life. He loved traveling the country in his RV and meeting new people. Ron was a kind and generous man, loved by many.
Ron is survived by his wife, Janie; mother, Myrtle Hargett; son, Mark Hargett; step-daughter, Lisa Bergin; brother Wayne (Dottie) Hargett; sister-in-law, Carol Hargett; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Hargett; brother, Dennis Hargett; and father, William Hargett.
Services will be 3:00PM, Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Alexander Funeral Home-North Chapel 4200 Stringtown Road. Evansville, IN 47711 (812) 428-0102. Public viewing will be from 1:00pm-3:00pm with memorial service immediately following.
