

Ronald Clarence McClaren, 83 of Wadesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 7, 2025. Ronald was born September 19, 1941 in Evansville and was the son of the late, John William and Alma Caroline (Daub) McClaren.
Ronald retired from Whirlpool. He loved being outdoors and was a long-time farmer. He farmed 80+ acres of the homestead. Other outdoor passions were working in his garden, working on his portable sawmill and hunting. His hobbies included going to antique car and tractor shows and flea markets with his brother. Ronald was an avid collector of all sorts of things, including stamps, license plates, die-cast tractors and farming equipment and memorabilia from local businesses. He was very close to his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; brother, Raymond William McClaren; and sister-in-law, Shirley Ann McClaren.
Ronald was survived by niece, Kathie Renee McClaren; nephew, Jason Raymond McClaren; two grandnieces and grandnephew, Trey McClaren, Zoey McClaren and their mother, Abbie Knight, and Raylee McClaren and her mother, Brittany Wilson-Tate; cousins, including Paul Daub who helped care for him; friends and classmates, Mary Schauss, David Schroeder and Ruth Redman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois, Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor Jeff Long, with burial in Tupman Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
