Rosetta Duke was a warm, kind and loving woman; an interesting woman. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was a devoted wife, a good sister, a kind mother, and a sweet grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Laura Simmons (Joe Roberts); and son, Eric Duke; step-daughter, Vicky Duke; granddaughters, Mandy Smith (Tony Schuler), Elizabeth Smith (Tommy Smith), and Elise McKeethen; and grandson Jacob Duke; great-grandchildren, Juliana Smith, Kaylee Smith, Jay Michael Irwin and Hudson Smith; sister, Judy Taffel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Odie “Red” Duke; her brother, Robert “Bucky” Terrell; and her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN followed by burial at Locust Hill Cemetery. Family and Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
