Russell "Rusty" E. Hill

Rusty held the rank of Specialist in the US Army where he was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX and served in Seoul, South Korea. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. Rusty worked in human resources, social services, and the insurance industry. He was also a member of the World Future Society. Rusty was a historian and enjoyed collecting watches and fountain pens.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Hill; and grandparents, Mamye Plock, Ed and Classie Denning.

Rusty is survived by husband and partner of 40 years, Dennis G. Sellers; mother, Jane Hill; siblings, Gregory Hill, Deborah Wynn, Jennie Hill, Rebecca Dawson, Nancy Wagner, and Amanda Hill-Groves; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday May 12, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor John Wynn. Burial with military honors will follow in Birdseye Cemetery, 400 Elm St. Birdseye, IN. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 and 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
