Ruth Katherine Schneider

Ruth K. Schneider, 96, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Heritage Hearthside Hospice. She was born June 7, 1922 in Evansville to the late Alfred and Emma (Bernhardt) Mangold. Her passion was painting. She was well traveled, visiting many places including Russia, Europe and Egypt. She made many friends on her travels. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Alfred Schneider; daughter, Marilyn S. (Schneider) Ruthenburg, and son, Robert Schneider. She is survived by daughter, Judy Kron (Larry); son, Jerry Schneider (Nancy); grandchildren, Adam Kron (Danielle) and Trent Schneider; great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Aubree, Lauren and Collin; son-in-law, James “Tay” Ruthenburg, and brothers-in-law, Donald Schneider and Jim Schneider. A Funeral Service will be 1:00PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Pastor Terry Farmer, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00AM to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, German Township.
