She was Head Chef of the Executive Inn for 30 years, and of the General Baptist faith.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Slaughter; sons, Michael, Stephen and Le Roy Sluder; four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Murphey, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
