Ruth Joyce Watson

Ruth worked at Kresge’s downtown and then Kresge’s at Lawndale. She then worked at Weinbachs where she retired. Ruth loved taking care of and spending time with her extended family. She enjoyed planning get togethers, following newspaper current events, and was the family historian. She loved playing games and telling jokes. Ruth had a great enthusiasm for life.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; twin sister Ruby Pauley, sisters Eva Smith, Vivian Bogan and Essie Couch; and brother Stanley Schenk.

Ruth is survived by her son, Warren Watson (Alicia) of California; sisters Laura Jones, Elsie Schenk, and June Nance of Evansville.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel 2200 Mesker Park Dr. Evansville, IN 47712 officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin. Friends may visit 12:00 p.m. until service time at Heritage Chapel.
