Ruth R White

Ruth R White went to meet our Lord Jesus on the morning of October 11th, 2020. Always a faithful Christian and Church of Christ faith, Ruth was raised at Mount Mission School in Grundy, VA. She is survived by daughters Carolyn McCoil (Billy), of Sedalia, KY; Beverly White-Rowley (Jon) of Evansville, IN; 4 grandsons, Jeffrey S Osborne (Jacinda); John R Gauer (Sonia); Jeremy Gauer (Chandra); and Brandon Osborne (Jamie). 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandsons. Ruth was proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Everett “Whitey” White, parents Horton Rowe and Pricey Hunt, and 11 siblings. Ruth worked at Colgate Palmolive and Brown and Williamson Cigarette Factories in Louisville, KY early in life and was a beautician and owner-operator of Modern Girl Beauty Salon. She and her husband bred and raced thoroughbred horses and trotters for several years. She enjoyed going to the casino with friends on occasion and loved helping her daughters and grandchildren in their many adventures. Visitation at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN. Tuesday, Oct 20th, 5-7 pm and Wednesday, Oct 21st, 9-10 am. Funeral at 10 am. Laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery. Minister Patricia Wilson, Officiating, Higher Praise Ministries, Inc. Murray, KY.
