At her request, a private memorial service for family only will be held at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Kenny Armitage.
She graduated from Reitz High School. Sharon attended cosmetology school in Evansville and was a self-employed hairdresser for many years. She also worked as an insurance agent for AAA of Southern Indiana. In June, 1958 she married Randall Crayner and together they parented two sons.
Sharon was not a stranger to work and giving her energy to establishing family traditions and celebrating holidays with family and friends. She welcomed the opportunity to make friends and accept new challenges.
She was a well-known, lifetime member of Simpson United Methodist Church and was in every sense a servant. Sharon prioritized her faith, family and friends. She had a tremendous sense of humor, a soft kindness and gentle spirit that was magnetic.
Sharon enjoyed traveling after her children were grown. She enjoyed trips with Randall and enjoyed seeing Paris and Belgium with friends.
Her life consisted of many church friends, co-workers, and her family. Please remember her not for tears, but for a celebration of a long and happy life. She wishes her legacy to be gratitude and peace in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Randall Crayner; sons, Christopher Crayner (Jennifer) of Orlando, FL and Eric Crayner of Lexington, KY; grandsons, Daniel Crayner and Davis Crayner; sister, Karleen Wink; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Simpson UMC, 2201 W Illinois St. Evansville, IN, 47712,
