She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. She always had a positive attitude and was an avid reader.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Joe DeShields, in 1996; and parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Janie Harp (Tony DuPont); sons, Billy (Kathy) and Dan (Patti) DeShields; grandchildren, Allison (Christopher) Miller; Katie DeShields (Chad Guelda), Jeff, and Erin DeShields; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Brody, David, and Jackson.
A private family service was held.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gentiva Hospice and Bell Oaks Place Assisted Living for their compassionate care of their mother.
