She worked at H.A. Woods, Lockwood Truck Stop, and Western Sizzlin Steak House. Her most rewarding job was being the caregiver of her Down-Syndrome daughter, Tracey Lynn, for the past 51 years. She and Tracey were a pair. She also loved NASCAR racing, her loving neighbors at the Carriage House Apartments, as well as the caring Mets Mobility drivers.
Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Williams; baby sister, Vicki Lee; and brother, Melvin Williams.
She is survived by her loving “special” daughter, Tracey McDonald, of Evansville; other loving daughter, Tina Godbey; son-in-law, Duke; sister, Jackie Davenport; sister-in-law, Shirley Williams; her most precious granddaughter, Alexandra Loehrlein; and many nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Shirley Williams and Kindred Hospice, both of whom helped care for Sherry during this difficult time.
