

He graduated from Evansville Day School and obtained his accounting degree from USI. Steve was a customer service representative for many years at Koch Originals. He most recently worked at Wal-Mart East. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC on Michigan Street. He coached and refereed girls’ soccer for many years as a volunteer. Steve belonged to several role playing gaming organizations and loved reading and traveling.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Walter and Edith Dycus; sister, Susan Dycus Fredwest; and mother-in-law, Doris M. Deutsch.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Darlene R. (Deutsch) Dycus; daughter, Dr. Dawn M. (Dycus) Wells and her husband, Alex; grandson, Jenson Wells; father-in-law, Charles Deutsch; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debra K. and Jeffrey Bosley; nieces and nephews, Rachel and Scott Wambach and Brian Bosley; uncle and aunt, Richard and Akiko Deutsch; aunt, Bernice Deutsch; and cousins, Connie and Steven Hara.
Friends may visit Monday, September 23, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel. Private services will be held. An inurnment service will be held at a later date.
