

She was a hairstylist for 50 years and owned Suzi’s Hairworks for 43 years. She and her colleagues travelled to many hair shows and competitions. She retired from Salon 5021 in 2016. She was a true role model who had tremendous work ethic. She especially enjoyed mentoring new stylists in her salon. Suzi was known for her annual Christmas parties where she had the annual flying of the "free bird". She had a passion for animals and was fond of watching Pitbulls and Parolees while doing crossword puzzles and coloring books. After retirement, Suzi enjoyed spending time as an avid reader and watching her shows, General Hospital and the girls on The View. Suzi took tremendous pride in her children and grandchildren and is survived by her beloved pet Yorkie, Rosie.
Suzi was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Martha and Marion Klipsch; father, Hal Pittman; and brothers, Van Pittman and Jim Adkins.
She is survived by her children, Eric Dewig, Christine Rainey, and Julie Hodges; grandchildren, Samantha Ward (Stevan), Isaac Rainey, and Olivia Hodges; great grandchildren, Beth, Daniel, Myles, and Charlie Ward; sister, Melissa Ferguson (Gary); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel officiated by Chaplain LeRoy Dilger. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
