Susie Mae Rose

Susie's hobbies included genealogy, sewing, shopping, and collecting gnomes. Her greatest joy and a favorite pastime was her family, especially spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elmer, George, Lawrence, Guy, and Charles Morris; grandson, David Wayne Smith, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Hyacinth Curry; and mother-in-law, Barbara Rose.

Susie is survived by her husband of 29 years, James "Jim" B. Rose; children, April (Jeff), Teresa (Kenneth), David, and Gene (Lillie); grandchildren, Aleasha May, Jarrett, Jessika, Shane, Brianna, Katie, Arrieonia, Cheyanna, and Starrlyn; great-grandchildren, Atlas, Remington, Elijah, Jasper, Penelope, and Juniper; sister, Ruth Pate; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, and on Monday from 11:30 am until service time.

Susie's funeral will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
