Trey brought joy and happiness to his parents. He always made sure to talk or visit them every single day. Trey was a graduate of Bosse High School in 2020 where he ran track and AAU. He loved being a devoted dad to his son, Kylen Leavell. Together Trey and Kylen would play basketball, Minecraft, and play at the park. They were literally each others best friends. Although only 23, Trey exemplified what it meant to be a man. Setting the standards through his unwavering love, devotion, and dedication to providing for his family. Trey enjoyed cooking. His specialty was nachos and if you ever tasted them you would definitely agree! He enjoyed traveling to different places, especially California. Trey really enjoyed vacationing with his family. He was a member of The Dwelling Place where he enjoyed attending with his wife, Nyah, son, Kylen and family.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Oneida Hill and Ida M. Harris; grandfathers, Donald Kaiser and Willie Harris; and uncles, Bob and James Leavell.
Trey is survived by his wife of one year, Nyah A. Leavell; son, Kylen Leavell; mother, Doneida Sims; father, Anthony Leavell; brother, Anthony L. Leavell; sister, Amber Boyle (Jason); brothers, Matthew Sims (Alyssa) and John Sims (Haley); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Trey had a special relationship with his parents-in-law, Nick and Carolin Owens.
