Trilla Elaine (Gray) Skinner, 87, of Evansville, IN, died peacefully January 14, 2016, in hospice at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born June 8, 1928, in Bridgeport, IL, and moved to Evansville after marrying H. LeRoy Skinner in 1948.
After earning her Early Childhood Development A.A. from University of Evansville in 1981, Trilla ran her own daycare, The Tot Spot, until she retired (1993). She was a longtime member of the Eastside Christian Church, a devoted matriarch, and an avid recycler.
Trilla was preceded in death by husband, H. Leroy; daughter, Karen Jo; and sons, Dennis and Gregory.
She is survived by daughter, Elaine McMinn (Tommy); son, Timothy (Michelle); son, D. Kent (Marye Pat); eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016, at Eastside Christian Church, 2001 Bayard Park Drive officiated by Dr. Linda Parker with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
