I agree with all the memories shared here of Vernon. However, I remember him best as a friend in bowling leagues and as a hard worker and very competent auto and RV mechanic. He was self employed, with his on businesses and could fine tune a vehicle or completely rebuild the engine. It seemed too me that he really enjoyed his life and he and his smile will will be missed by many.
(Thank you Donna, for letting us know)

How time escapes us! So many memories from childhood! Mom took us from arkansas to Indiana to visit Uncle Floyd and Aunt Dorothy and kids! Boy did we have fun!
Our visits were few and far between but so memorable!
Visits when they came to Arkansas allowed us to show them where we played all over Star City
Later in life my wife Sylvia and I visited Butch and Donna and family. Butch and Donna were sweet hosts. I always thought Butch was such a gentle person! I admired him for that !
Prayers for you Donna and family. We were planning another trip up there this summer but Virus pandemic changed that. So sorry we couldn’t be there to support you

God Bless

There is nothing like memories of friends you grew up with, high school was a great time for our small group of friends, will always remember our days at Frishe's Big Boy across from North High, we kept the car hops busy, we loved and trusted each other. Vernon will never be forgotten, I sure would have liked to come to his funeral, but with the virus , and my age, I decided it was not good for me to come....God Bless you Donna and your family, I know Vernon had a great life with you as his partner.
