Viola (Herke) Weber

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mayme Herke; brothers, Harold and Clarence Herke; and twin sister, Vernita Dallape.

Viola is survived by her husband of 70 years, Walter Weber; son, Gary Weber (Lana); daughter, Joan Hoge and husband, Carl W. “Bill”; grandchildren, Stacey Couglin (Charlie), Angie Meurer, Christy Merrill (Mark), Theresa Bowers (Mike), Larry Renschler (Beth), and Wayne Hoge (Melissa); 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and sister, Betty Carter.

Viola worked in the Optical Department for Drs. T.J. Pavlick and Dr. David Malitz for 42 years. She was a member of Boeke Road Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Daughter’s of the Nile. Vi was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the staff of VNA Charlier Hospice for their kindness.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gayle Russ, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
