
Virginia “Jeanne” L. (Ellsworth) Frick, 91, formerly of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 3:15 AM at a nursing home in Manassas, Virginia. She was born August 12, 1921, in Huntingburg, IN, the only daughter of the late Myrtis and Waldo Ellsworth.
Jeanne was the wife of the late Russell “Rusty” Frick and during their 53-year marriage they traveled the world extensively. They lived at times in London, England and Athens, Greece. She was a wonderful helpmate during Rusty’s 33-year government career that included his work with the Federal Aviation Administration and WWII service as a B-24 Pilot. A consummate Bridge player, Jeanne belonged to several clubs in Evansville before relocating to Virginia due to bad health. She was a longstanding member of the Bethel United Church of Christ.
She is survived by the couple’s three daughters, Andrea Mills of Manassas, VA, Rebecca Brown of Fishers, IN and Jaima List of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Reverend Joseph Schulte from Bethel United Church of Christ will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, with burial to follow. Immediately preceding the memorial service there will be a short visitation period for family and friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel.
