She was born in Clarksville, TN on April 7, 1954 to John C. Meriwether, Sr. and Hilda Trice Meriwether.
Virginia was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was a caring person who dearly loved her family. She had a heart for people.
She graduated from Bosse High School and attended Lockyear Business College and Tri-State Beauty College. She had a gift for doing hair. Virginia assisted with her mother’s daycare. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Phyllis Paschall, John Jr., and Frank Meriwether.
Virginia leaves to cherish her fond and lasting memories one son, Troy Montell Meriwether; and two daughters, Tracy Meriwether-Hardin (Everett) and Tequa La’Shae Fingers; four grandchildren, Deonte, Key’Choina, and Tiara Meriwether, and Ar’Monie Howard; one great-grandchild, Emina Burns; two brothers, Willie Wisdom and Mervin Meriwether; six godchildren, Rahmon Graves, I-Aisha Cook, Anthony Cook, Kristina Sebree, Tommy Howard, and John Anderson; special friend, Charlotte Graves; and a host of other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Alexander East Chapel with DuWayne Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
