

Wanda was a member of Howell General Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and the fellowship of her church family. She was an avid baker who was especially known for her famous bread pudding. On holidays and occasions you could expect to receive a card with some of her heartfelt messages. Fall was a special time for Wanda who for over 40 years vacationed in Gatlinburg with special friends and family.
Wanda's family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses at Deaconess Midtown for their professionalism and compassion.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 69 years, Waymand; sons, Dwayne (Lola) DeLaney and Jerry DeLaney; daughter, Sherri Hirsch; grandchildren, Ryan, Annette, Colin, Zo, Jerry Wayne and DeLaney; and great-grandchildren, Reuben, Dahlia, Shaylee and Jovie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Howell General Baptist Church, 1520 Delmar Ave., Evansville, IN, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN.
