

She graduated from Dunmor High School in 1946. Wanda was baptized into the Church of Christ at the age of 12. In her younger years, she and three of her sisters performed live on the radio in Western Kentucky where they sang, played banjo, guitar and the mandolin. She was a homemaker and her passion was family gatherings where she enjoyed cooking and baking homemade meals. Wanda was known for her sweet and kind hearted nature towards others.
She was preceded in death by her truly beloved husband of 69 years Albert A. Peay; sons, Rollie and Denny Peay.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Randy and Clarence “C.A.” Peay; daughter, Angie (Bob) Francis; grandchildren, Travis (Vicki), Tiffany, Shelly and Andy Peay, Amy (Steve) Jarvis, and Billy (Jessa) Jines; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Vonnie (Neil) Brigance; brother, Tommy DeArmond; brother-in-law, Tyler (Doris) Peay; sister-in-law, Judy Peay; brother-in-law, Vineyard Ferrell; many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Daisy.
Her family would like to thank Deaconess Hospice for their attentive care and her very special friend and helper, Linda Agee McFarland.
Due to the pandemic, a private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park.
