

He graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1952 and married Rosalie Appman on June 12, 1954. Bill was a member of the US Army and spent time in Germany as a motor pool mechanic. He worked for International Harvester and for Bucyrus Erie for 26 years before retiring from All Type Hydraulics after 14 years of service. Bill enjoyed wood working in his spare time, and was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; two step-sisters; and one step-brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rosalie (Appman) Yeager; daughter, Pamela Sue (Dennis) Schuck; son, Rusty Kent (Lori) Yeager; grandchildren, Jeannie Rose and Aaron William Schuck; honorary daughter, Wilma Jean Spaulding; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel and Dorothy Dierlam; nephew, Daniel Ray (Susan) Dierlam; niece, Candace Dawn Riddle; a number of great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and special friends, Gene and Betty Newcom.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 27, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastors Bill Wassner and Rev. Mary Hurley, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Browning, Dr. Michael Miller at Oncology Hematology Associates, the staff of Deaconess 5100 Unit and Deaconess Charlier Hospice Center for the compassion and care that was given.
