

William Villines, 70, of Evansville, passed away in his home on December 29, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1946, to the late Velma “June” (Bradley) and Bill Villines.
Bill graduated in 1964 from Mount Vernon High School and attended classes at University of Evansville. He worked for 45 years in the photo finishing industry. At age 17, he started in production and worked his way up the ranks at Snap Photo and Colorcraft before retiring as Vice-President of Operations of the East region for Qualex.
Bill thoroughly enjoyed the game of golf and the comradery with his friends. He was fortunate to play at many famous courses around the country. He loved fishing, history, coin collecting, reading and morel hunting. He was passionate about taking pictures and capturing memories. Bill was never without his camera, because everything was a photo opportunity. He took great pride in his children, and especially his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to support and encourage each of them.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kaye (McDonald) Villines; children, Cindy Staples, Greg (Julie) Villines of Cumming, GA, Tami (Kevin) Wilke and Steven (fiancé, Sonya); honorary daughter, Erin Algee; grandchildren, Brittney Villines, Katelyn (fiancé, Tyler) and Karlee Coleman, PVT Zachary and Matthew Villines, Sarah and Vincent Villines, and another grandson expected in May; sisters, Diana (Laval) Emmerson, Brenda (Dave) Bohannon and Peggy Hamilton; goddaughter Jennifer Kemper; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 2, 2017, at Salem United Church of Chirst Heusler, officiated by Pastor Al Schmidt and Jason Emmerson, with burial in Salem UCC Heusler Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel and from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
