He graduated from Reitz High School in 2012. He was a very hard worker, was a go getter and loved life. He enjoyed being around people and always had a smile on his face. He was the light in the room. He always enjoyed volunteering to help people.
Zach was preceded in death by his uncle, Keith Ethridge; and grandparents, William and Laverne Houghland.
He is survived by his parents, David and Kelly Houghland; brother, William “Billy” K. Houghland; grandparents, Sandra Toton, Everett and Jeanne Ethridge, Jeanne Chappell and Larry Toton; aunts and uncles, Tim and Lisa Luttrull, Connie Hayes, Mark Luttrull, Nancy Cravens, Gloria Perry, Cindy and Gary Powell and Dennis Knotts; nephew, Grant W. Houghland; and many cousins and loving friends.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
