Beatrice “Beady” Caroline Lewis, born September 1, 1928 in Melrose, MN, passed away on April 8, 2013 in Everett, WA. Bea was employed at Everett Community College for many years and was known as “The Pie Queen” for the fabulous pies she made. She enjoyed a good book, an outing to the casino with family and friends, and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club at the Village in Granite Falls. Beady is survived by her sisters, Judy Girven (Don) of Lake Stevens and Mary Ann Blythe of Bellingham, brother David Riesner (Cheryl) of Marysville, several loving nieces and nephews, many friends at the Village in Granite Falls, and dear friend Betty Aldrich of Everett. She now joins her husband Francis “Lewis” Irwin Lewis, sister Irene Wellman, brother Richard “Dick” Riesner, and her parents Henry and Anna Riesner. At her request a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Granite Falls Fire Department, P.O. Box 596, Granite Falls, WA 98252.
