Dorothy May Johnson (Kluth) passed away November 21, 2015 after an extended illness.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Carl R.E. Johnson. She is survived by son, Larry Johnson (Cathy); daughter, Carla Roop (Paul); sister, Donna Herbert; step grandsons DJ and Andrew; 2 nephews; many friends; and of course her beloved dog, Maizy.
Dorothy was born September 2, 1931 in Everett, WA and lived there for most of her life. She attended Everett High School and went on to have a career as a beautician. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother, not only to her own children but their friends as well. She thought nothing of having an extra 2 or 3 of her children's friends stay for dinner, or to wake up in the morning to a living room full of sleeping kids. She made all of them feel welcome. Believe it or not, she was like Donna Reed, June Cleaver, and Lucille Ball all rolled into one. To this day, childhood friends of Carla and Larry would make it a point to stop by to visit with her. Not a birthday went by that Joey didn't bring her roses. She will be missed by many. Not only her family but her bowling and bingo friends, her great neighbors, and countless others who had the pleasure of knowing this wonderful woman.
We would sincerely like to thank the great staff at Providence Regional Medical Center-Colby Campus for the fabulous care that she received in her last days. A very heartfelt thank you goes out to her doctor for the thoughtful care that she gave our mom over the years, and the support that she gave to our family. To her many friends and relatives, know that you were all very important to her. Dorothy requested no memorial service but we will all be celebrating her life in our own way. She will be missed.
