She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA 1948.
She later studied Organ at the University of Puget Sound.
Janice was a talented organist playing professionally for Everett Central Christian Church and most recently Cascade View Presbyterian.
Janice married Robert Ryder June 30, 1951 in Tacoma Washington.
Robert and Janice relocated to Everett in 1958.
Janice leaves behind her loving husband Robert and 2 sons David Ryder and Douglas Ryder as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
