Michael Clyde Shelby

Michael Clyde Shelby died March 1, 2013 at Providence Everett Medical Center, Colby Campus. Mike was born April 22, 1951 at Fort Lawton, Seattle, WA. He lived his entire life in Snohomish County. Mike retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as a Carman. He also worked in construction for many years. Mike is survived by his son Michael J.E. Shelby, grandson Damon W. Shelby, mother Carol Pope, brother Stephen P. Smith, sister-in-law Jaci Smith, sister Kathleen R. Pope. He also had 4 nieces and 2 nephews, several cousins, and his Aunt Roselind Basil. He was preceded in death by his father W. James Shelby, grandmother Ella Shelby, grandmother Margie Brons, grandfather Raymond Ricketts, and Wayne Ricketts, his best friend. Mike lived a troubled life, but is now at peace with his loved ones. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. We will miss him. At his request, no services will be held. Memorials can be made to the Assistance League of Everett, 5107 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203.
