

She was predeceased by her parents; Norman & Cora Newell and her siblings; Ellen, Pearl, Thora (George), Nial (Merne), Bud (Evelyn) as well as niece & nephew; Irene Camp Newell & Tom Newell.
She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Evelyn Newell, Nieces: Marlene Westwong (Glen), Nancy Stanton (Mike), Nephews; George Romano (Laurie), Jim Newell (Susan)
Stepson, Larry Jackson (Sherry) & family; Joann, Glen (deceased), Elaine, Dennis (Norine) & Gracie, and Charlie.
She also has numerous grandnephews & nieces as well as many good neighbors & friends.
Mickey was heavily involved in the 1st Baptist Church, the Everett Eagles and the Normana Ladies Club. She contributed to many charities, enjoyed hunting & fishing, hiking & gardening, sewing, canning, cooking, horseback riding, & dancing.
Throughout her career she worked as a clerk, a Rosie Riveter shipyard welder, a beautician, a berry picker, a school bus driver. She completed her employment career with Community Transit and retired at 70 years old.
She asked that her service be “short & sweet, no fuss, no muss, and that you should be happy”. The service will be comprised of the stories & memories you bring to share.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Purdy & Walters, 1702 Pacific Ave, Everett, WA, (425) 252-2191. Visitation: 2:00 - 3:00pm, Funeral Service: 3:00 - 4:00pm. Coffee & cookie reception following service.
