Paul Joseph Hawkey Jr.

Paul J. Hawkey Jr., 67, passed away October 27, 2012 in Everett, WA. He was born to Paul and Virgene Hawkey September 20, 1945 in Long Beach, CA. Paul served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 28 years reaching the rank of Sergeant Major. He spent 50 plus years as an auto mechanic. Paul enjoyed traveling, but most of all spending time with family, especially the grandkids. Preceding him in death was his wife Jean Hawkey (2005) and his father Paul Hawkey Sr. (2005). Paul is survived by his children, Susan Hawkey of Everett, Joseph (Tanis) Hawkey of Everett, grandchildren, Zach, Caitlyn, Maddison, Coleman, Courtney, and Connor Hawkey; his mother, Virgene Hawkey of Long Beach, CA; brother Steve Hawkey of Long Beach, CA; sisters, Barbara (Rusty) Whaley of Lakewood, CA, Cathy Patrick of Winnemucca, NV. Visitation will take place Friday, November 2, 2012, 4-7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett. A funeral mass will take place Saturday, November 3, 1:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2509 Hoyt Ave., Everett with a reception to follow at Knights of Columbus Hall 2913 W Marine View Dr., Everett and a committal service at 4 p.m. at Holyrood Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St., Shoreline, WA.
