Born on July 5, 1928 in Johnstown, PA to Joseph and Anna Bifano, she was the youngest of 5 children. Terry had a full childhood in Johnstown where she graduated from Johnstown High School where she played clarinet in the marching band. To fulfill her dream, she entered the Nursing Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After graduation in 1951 she worked as Head Nurse in the Urology Department. It was there she met her future husband Lowell Walton, MD. They married and began their journey together. The family came to Everett in 1960 when her husband joined the staff at the Everett Clinic. Terry quickly became an involved Mom and active volunteer in the community. She spent many hours as a “Pink Lady” at Providence Hospital and served as President of the organization for a number of years. Active with the Ladies Guilds at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, she loved spearheading the many Parish Dinners and breakfasts throughout the years. Terry was a great cook and even better baker. She could always be counted on to provide hot food, great pies, or homemade breads. Terry’s generosity did not stop with the people she served. She never met a dog she didn’t love and would take in any stray she thought needed a warm bath, hug, and a good meal.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna, brothers Lucian, Michael, and Eugene, sister Mary Jane, and her husband Lowell. She leaves behind her daughter, Diana Claire of Mukilteo, sons Robert Lowell (Teresita) and Joseph Randall, nephews Lucian Bifano of Austin, TX, Joseph Bifano of Horseheads, NY, niece Suzanne Bifano, of Johnstown, PA, brother-in-law Henry Wentz and sister-in-law Anita Bifano, 3 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as friends who all loved her and will miss her beautiful smile and great cooking.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30am, November 10, 2015 at St. Thomas More Parish, 6522 176th St SW., Lynnwood, WA.
